INFORMATION ON HALL OF FAME MEMBERS:
TERRY JACKS: Terry was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1988. He represented Australia between 1980 and 1987, including Captaining the Men's Open side on the 1986 tour of New Zealand. Terry is respected by all for the example he has set as a dedicated player and leader in Touch.
KAREN SMITH: Karen was also inducted in 1988 and has been involved with Touch as a State and National representative player since 1980. She has also captained NSW and Australia on many occasions and her list of awards for Player's player, player of the final or player of the series is near endless.
LISA NEAL: Lisa was inducted into the Australian Touch Association Hall of Fame in 1990. Her Touch career started in 1977, as part of the first ladies competition in Port Hacking. Lisa is one of NSW's most-capped female players, representing the State between 1980 & 1993 and was a member of the Australian team for many years.
RAY LAWRENCE: Ray “Bullet” Lawrence was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1990 at the National Titles held in the Northern Territory that year. Ray became involved in Touch Football at the age of 32, by playing a social game in Manly. He was then recruited into a local side, and a short time later represented The Manly District in the NSW Region Competition. In 1983 he was selected for NSW in the State Men’s Senior Team, and since then has represented the State of NSW for 14 years in a row. His speed and skill continued to impressed selectors for 14 years straight, and as such each year was selected to represent Australia.
KERRY NORMAN: Kerry was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1991 after becoming involved with Touch in 1981 because a team playing near her husband's team was short of players. Kerry has developed to be not only one of Australia's most accomplished representatives but also a very successful coach. She is currently coach of the Australian Womens Open side. She is also well known for building the involvement of children in Touch and believes that Touch is very much a family affair.
MICK MCCALL: Mick became involved with Touch in the late 1970's and is an accomplished player and coach at Regional, State and National level. He represented Australia between 1985 and 1999 and has 33 World Cup caps to his name. MORE INFORMATION ON MICK McCALL
MARK BOLAND: Mark is described by many as the old war horse. He first became involved with Touch when he was 13 years old, playing Rugby League and experiencing back pain. He was not allowed to play any more contact sports so decided to start playing Touch. Mark played in 17 straight State Cups with Parramatta in which he won 12 times. SCOTT NOTLEY: Scott started playing Touch in 1982 because he felt the game suited him more than Rugby. He lists Bobby Brindell from Queensland and Mark Boland from NSW as his most respected opponents. Scott recalls the 1995 World Cup when Australia came from behind to defeat New Zealand 5-1 as a career highlight and he is noted by all as a great ambassador for sport and especially for Touch.
CRAIG PIERCE: Sadly, Craig passed away not long after being inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2003. Craig will always be remembered as a character of Australian Touch Football and will be held close to the hearts of many. Craig was one of Australia's most capped representatives and showed a determination and leadership, as well as fighting spirit that encouraged and inspired many people around him. KATRINA TOOHEY (Nee MAHER): Katrina started playing Touch at the age of ten in a local Cronulla competition. Her family was largely involved with Touch and she has always aimed to see the Cronulla Women's side reach their full potential. Her list of Regional, State and Australian representatives is also incredibly impressive. MORE INFORMATION ON KATRINA TOOHEY
BOB BRINDELL: Bob was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2003 and is a stalwart of Queensland Touch. He has never neglected his local or club players and teams, and is a key contributor to the development of young Gold Coast players. An accomplished player for Regional, State and National, Bob was awarded player of the series at two consecutive World Cups, 1991 and 1995. MORE INFORMATION ON BOB BRINDELL
PETER MCNEVEN: An accomplished Coach and manager, Peter has been a constant guiding light for Queensland and Australia sides since the 1980's. He has led Australia at the World Cup and also in the Trans Tasman series. He was Australian Men's Open Manager from 1985-1988 and from 1991-1999 he held the position of Australian Mens Open Coach. He has achieved 51 caps for his country being made of 35 World Cup appearances and 16 tests. MORE INFORMATION ON PETER MCNEVEN
RICK BORG: At State, National and International events for the past 12 years he has excelled in his area of Touch. He is well respected amongst his peers and no doubt a role model to all aspiring touch referees. His hard work and dedication was rewarded in 1995 when he rose to the position of World's Number 1 Touch Referee, a position he has held firmly for the past 8 years. Rick has achieved 70 test caps or his country, consisting of 46 World Cup appearances, 21 tests and 3 other internationals. MORE INFORMATION ON RICK BORG
PETER BELL: Peter has participated at a National level as both a player and coach. His achievements as a coach for Queensland and the Australian Womens Open side are near endless. He has been responsible for the promotion and coaching of Touch throughout Queensland schools, helping to establish Touch as one of the most popular sports in Queensland schools. Peter has achieved 38 caps for his country being made of 26 World Cup and 12 tests appearances. MORE INFORMATION ON PETER BELL
