Junior State Cup – Event Ambassadors Opportunity

With the largest ever Junior State Cup fast approaching, NSW Touch Football are seeking community and sports minded Volunteers to assist with the overall delivery of the event. As a volunteer at the 2018 Junior State Cup you become a part of a team known as the ‘Event Ambassadors’ that contribute to running the largest representative Touch Football event in Australia which can be a very positive and rewarding experience.

On top of everyday roles and responsibilities, volunteering in different disciplines at events can provide volunteers with a more well-rounded sports management experience. This experience includes equipping volunteers with the knowledge and skills to contribute to not only the success of an event but also enhancing the positive and rich experiences for Touch Football participants.

Event Details

The 2018 Junior State Cup is the premier NSW Touch Football junior representative event which is conducted in Port Macquarie on the 16th, 17th, 18th February 2018.

Volunteer Uniform

New South Wales Touch Football will provide all volunteers with an Event Ambassador shirt and an event hat. Volunteers are required to wear a pair of blue shorts along with a pair of comfortable closed in shoes.

Volunteer Positions

Ground Staff –

This role is integral to the running of a successful event, as a member of the Ground Staff team you will monitor the fields and ensure a safe playing space for all athletes. This will be achieved by maintaining crowd control and notifying the medical team of any injuries. Within this role you will be up close to all the action giving you the best seat in the house.

Volunteer Availability

We have the options to cater for everyone’ availability! You may Volunteer for the whole 3 days of the event however as the days at Junior State Cup can be long and quite taxing whilst being in the elements, we are providing 3 timeslots for volunteers.

Early Birds 7:00am – 11:00am Lunch Legends 10:30am – 2:30pm Afternoon Amigos 2:00pm – 6:30pm

Alternatively, you can volunteer for the entire duration on the event. In this case you will be provided with morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea breaks throughout the day.
