2024/2025 AFFILIATE REPRESENTATIVE RANKINGS

With just six weeks till the NSW Touch State Cup, this weekend’s Country Championships is a final opportunity for those teams to fine-tune their preparations.

A new venue, team numbers doubling and the weather on point, competition on Day 1 did not disappoint. Games were fast, intense and heated at times and boy oh boy were we in for a show!

The Doyalson Dragons Men’s Open team continued their stellar form of 2018. With a strong performance throughout the day. They now head into Day 2 mindful of those teams who are just as hungry for the title. “We just need to go through our processes and get those one-percenters right,” said Doyalson Coach Karley Banks.

Coach Banks spoke highly of those teams on the hunt for the title “Wollongong, Central Coast, and Newcastle are all quality sides and its fantastic to be blessed with that standard of Men’s Open Competition”

In the Women’s Open Division, Central Coast and Newcastle head into finals day undefeated with reigning titleholders Wollongong close behind.

Central Coast Women’s Opens Assistant Coach Paul Farah knows today was a good day but tomorrow, a completely different story “Newcastle and Wollongong we know are going to be tough. We know what they are capable of as we are all playing Vawdon Cup”
