Exciting time ahead for new recruits

After an extensive search to replace the Sport Managers role, we are delighted to report that we have made an appointment for the State Participation Managers role.

Rob Pidgeon will commence with the NSWTA in the new role on Monday, October 21st. While the previous position encompassed a wide range of elements related to the business, the State Participation Managers role will focus on both growing the sport and also have a role in leading the game within NSW.

Rob comes to us via Surf Life Saving Australia and also with previous experiences in Bowls New Zealand. He has tertiary qualifications in Business and Sports Administration. A ten-year career working in the sports industry working closely with key decision-makers reaching across staff, Directors, and volunteers at all levels from National to grassroots. He has a thorough understanding of the landscape of an association/membership-based organisation and will be an asset to our team and the sport.

We are excited to advise that the NSWTA has now made appointments to fill the three Member Service Coordinators vacancies.

Also, we are very pleased to announce Nathan Loveday, David Stone and Henrik Anthony will commence with the NSWTA on Thursday, October 24th. Each will be working closely with the Affiliates, the State Participation Manager and Game Development Officers to support and grow sport right across the state.

Nathan is the reigning NSWTA Administrator of the Year, has both coaching and refereeing experiences and has served on affiliate committees for several years. Similarly, David also comes directly from our affiliate community with committee experience and also having a coaching background. Both have actively participated at the club level and come to us with a unique experience. That is with an understanding of what it is Affiliates both require and want of the NSWTA. They have also lived real-life experiences in the challenges volunteers face in the delivery of the game. Henrik comes to us via the sports industry with his most recent role was Member Engagement Supervisor with Macquarie Sport. He understands the importance of both customer relationships but also the need for active engagement and relationship management. He has also previously served an internship with the NSWTA.

We are currently reviewing the Affiliates each of the Member Services team will look after. David Stone will be based out of Port Macquarie and will service the affiliates in the north, north-west of the state as well as it is likely areas of the Hunter.

We are looking forward to all four commencing with us and joining our team. They will hit the ground running at this busy time of the year.
