The NSW Touch Association is pleased and excited to announce their newest event partner, an iconic Australian brand- Budgy Smuggler.

Today, the two organisations have partnered together for both the 2021 and 2022 NSWTA State Cup and Country Championships. The partnership also sees the finals series of State Cup renamed to be the ‘Budgy Smuggler Finals Series’.

NSWTA General Manager Dean Russell was highly impressed by this bold and concept-driven organisation, believing the partnership would bring to the game and our members’ exciting new event elements.

“To be able to partner with such a stand-out brand as Budgy Smuggler is an exciting opportunity not only for our organisation but also our membership. We are sure that their unique way of thinking and product association will enable us to build on our successful event brands by working with the Budgy Smuggler team.”

Budgy Smuggler Chief Smuggler, Adam Linforth was also excited by the partnership.

“We are stoked to be officially on board with the NSW Touch Association and in particular to have a presence at the State Cup and Country Championships. We have had a lot of the touch football community support Budgy Smuggler and Smugglettes over the years so we’re pumped to take things to the next level”.

The partnership will also allow for brand engagement via both parties’ social media channels as well as the opportunity for NSW Touch Association clubs and members the opportunity for club custom-designed swimwear.

Budgy Smugglers is fast becoming an Australian cultural icon. The NSW Touch Association is looking forward to working with them to ‘smuggle’ together.
