Coaches – All coaches affiliated under TFA who have a Working With Children Check are eligible to deliver Sporting Schools Programs.
To register to become a Sporting Schools Field Officer, please complete the following steps:
- Attain a current Working With Children Check (Volunteer is fine)

Field Officers will deliver Touch Football Programs with a school and junior focus, and earn money while doing it!
Field Officers must be over the age of 18, and attain a Working With Children Check. You must also hold a minimum of an Sport Australia Community Coaching General Principles Certificate (however, a TFA coaching accreditation is recommended).
Field Officers can earn between $25 to $50 per hour (based on accreditation), with incentives to those coaches who continue to show loyalty to the program.
Delivering Sporting Schools programs is a great way to earn extra cash and help your club grow in junior participation at the same time.
Field Officers will also receive:

- Development Opportunities
- Uniforming
Once registered as a Field Officer, your details will be sorted based on location. As schools request a program in your area, you will be asked about your availability to deliver the program.
Sessions can run before, during and after school; while programs can last 1 or 2 days, or up to 7 weeks (this is all dependant on the school’s request).
